1:05 p.m. - Waiting on a meeting right after lunch.
I like to make up stories about the people around me.
He wears skinny jeans, red crocodile skin boots, zip up.
He's a writer, or he thinks he is.
Last thing he published was a poem about the tragedy of the indigenous
 and the encroaching doom of globalized culture.
Every few months he tries to grow a beard only to realize that he can’t.
Rinse. Repeat.
She has black hair with green highlights that are in tone with her pink skirt.
Glasses and tattoos on her fingers that spell out “get back”.
Her story is that she has a perfectly normal family that she tells no one about.
She tells people they live in another country.
She doesn't need this job.
She's doing it so she doesn't get bored.
That part is true.
The one in the corner is laughing a little too loudly.
Louder than the others.
When he talks he makes sure to establish eye contact with everyone at the table, a second too long.
Perhaps its forced.
Inside he's an introvert putting on the airs of an extrovert.
Later he'll be tired.
Later he'll find a safe place and rest.
